Job Description

The professional Business Consultant examines the issues in a certain business area, and makes an analysis of areas for improvement. A deep understanding of key business processes is fundamental. Based on this analysis, he/she creates a roadmap for improvement, which will often be a combination of updated processes and technology. He/she takes ownership in realizing the to be situation, and proves the realized benefits.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify business areas with room for improvement with key stakeholders

  • Define ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ situation, qualifies and quantifies potential of proposed improvements

  • Create roadmap to realize improvements (updated processes, high level ICT solution, change management plan, deployment plan, …)

  • Leads improvement projects, assists during deployment

  • Quantifies the realized benefits

Applicant Profile

  • Master degree or higher in science, typically specialized in a certain business domain

  • At least 3 years of proven experience

  • Proven experience with Business Process Improvement techniques, process modeling (BPMN), Lean, 6 Sigma

  • Speaks the lingo of the business

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture (relation between business processes, data, applications and systems)

  • Experience in working in multinational/multicultural organizations
  • Flexibility and excellent communication skills (English/Dutch), capable of maintaining a high level network
